What is Poker about?
Poker is a card game where luck alone won't carry you — strategy, judgement and skill are what matter. Playing Poker on the mmk12 platform means managing your own cards, making meaningful decisions in different situations, and competing to win.
More players in Myanmar are getting into Poker, but many don't know where to find a good environment to play. mmk12 offers Poker games around the clock in a stable environment with fair rules.
From basic Poker strategy all the way to advanced play — once you understand bluffing, position, and pot odds, you'll find what makes Poker genuinely rewarding.
Types of Poker you can play at mmk12
Poker isn't just one game. mmk12 offers a range of Poker options so each player can choose based on their skill level and preferred style.
Texas Hold'em
The most popular Poker format in the world. Each player receives two cards and uses five community cards to build the best hand. Pre-flop, Flop, Turn, River — the step-by-step decisions are what make this game so compelling.
Omaha Hold'em
Similar to Texas Hold'em, but each player receives four cards. Because you must use at least two of your own cards to build a hand, the game is more complex and produces stronger hands more often.
Seven Card Stud
In this Poker format there are no community cards. Each player receives seven cards and builds the best five-card hand from them. The game rewards memory and sharp observation.
Short Deck Poker
This format uses only 36 cards, resulting in more hand combinations and a faster-paced game. The rule that Flush ranks higher than Full House adds extra depth to this game.
Pot Limit Poker
The maximum bet is limited by the pot size, so players need to manage their amounts more carefully. This format is popular with players who want to stick to a budget.
Live Dealer Poker
This format lets you play with a real dealer via live stream. mmk12 Live Poker is built to give you the feel of a real casino floor.
Understanding Poker Hand Rankings
To make the right decisions in Poker, you need to understand hand rankings. The table below lists all hand ranks from highest to lowest.

| 10 | High Card | When no hand is made, the highest card wins |
The Poker strategies you need to know to win
Luck plays a part in Poker, but strategy is something you can control. Keep these points in mind when playing at mmk12 Poker.
Being in late position — acting last — gives you more information to make decisions, so you can play more hands.
When deciding whether to call, factor in the ratio of the pot size to the call amount.
A good bluff requires sending your opponent a signal that looks different from how you normally play.
Only risk a small percentage of your bankroll at a time to keep your losses under control.
